As a Hispanic immigrant who cherishes the opportunities and freedoms that America offers, it is with a mix of admiration and concern that I observe the current social landscape. The month of September 2023 brought to the forefront several critical issues, highlighting both the resilience and the vulnerabilities of American society. While this country has always been a melting pot of cultures and ideas, recent trends suggest a growing polarization that threatens the very fabric of unity and inclusivity that many, including myself, have come to appreciate.
